OUR WORK

What we do

We help turn knowledge into action, by bringing together the evidence and the skills needed to shape an inclusive future. Combining groundbreaking research, robust disability related data, and cutting edge policy analysis, through capacity building, and accessible communications, we work with organizations of persons with disabilities and other key stakeholders to develop practical approaches that respond to different contexts.

Social Protection

We develop methods to assess disability costs and support needs, helping governments and partners shape benefits and design policies that enable equal participation.

Community Support

We build evidence on the services, networks, and support people with disabilities need for independent living, and use it to advance a disability-inclusive care and support agenda.

Data for Inclusion

We strengthen disability related data and CRPD-compliant budget analysis so governments and OPDs can better design, monitor, and fund policies that advance disability inclusion.

Fellowships & Trainings

We expand disability policy and research capacity through the CIP Fellowship Program through training, mentorship, and learning opportunities for people and organizations in the Global South.

ABOUT US

What guides our work

Disability rights and inclusion shape how we work, the choices we make, and the partnerships we build. Our strategy sets the direction for turning those principles into action.

Our vision

We envision a world where all people with disabilities, regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or other characteristics, enjoy their full human rights and benefit equally from sustainable and inclusive development.

Our mission

We support the design of public policies and development programs that foster the full and effective inclusion of people facing disabling barriers, working with diverse partners through research, policy analysis, and capacity building.

Our values

Human rights, inclusion, participation, respect, diversity, and rigorosity guide how we work. We value evidence, lived experience, and different perspectives, while recognizing intersecting forms of discrimination.

Our strategy

Our 2027-2029 strategy sets the goals and direction of our work, focusing on social protection, community support, disability data, and policy capacity, with gender, intersectionality, climate, and the Global South across these priorities.
