Collaboration and partnership

CIP works in collaboration with other stakeholders. The mission of the center is to provide technical support to national and intentional organisations that are striving to promote and implement inclusive policies and programs.

In this spirit, CIP is developing privileged collaborations with some organisations that share similar objectives and perspective.

The Equals Centre for Promotion of Social Justice was established in 2014 as a registered Trust in Chennai. The Organization was founded by several senior disability rights activists based in Chennai to fill the gap between grassroot advocacy for the rights of persons with disabilities and policy makers, by advocating for evidence-based approaches to policy and legislation, in line with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The organization also facilitates capacity building among Disabled Peoples Organizations on law and policy. Here you can download some of their key reports and contribution:

AccessAbility is an Architectural Access and Universal Design Consultancy that provides design solutions to include persons with disabilities as clients and employees. With our motto ‘Access = Ability’, we believe that an inclusive environment significantly contributes towards making a better tomorrow for all. AccesAbility is lead by Shivani Gupta, who is currently undertaking a PHD. She is looking at how support available to persons with disabilities living in rural area in India can be increased. Considering the country does not have a formal personal assistance service, the research is more inclined toward looking at support options that can be developed from within the community.
